Creative direction process — material palette flat lay

01

Creative
Direction

A project has hundreds of moving parts. Creative direction is the thing that makes them feel like one. I originate the vision, present it to you, and hold it through every decision until the project is built. The thinking behind the design, not just the output of it.

02

Spatial &
Experiential Design

From the first sketch to a fully resolved spatial concept. Site analysis, audience flow, stage positioning, acoustic integration, material selection, and atmosphere design — all considered together rather than handed off between disciplines. Architecture-trained thinking applied to environments where the experience is the product.

03

Technical Design
& Documentation

The gap between a great concept and a great build is documentation. Working drawings, CAD packages, acoustic specification, AV and lighting integration, and full construction documentation. Everything a contractor needs to deliver the design intent without interpretation errors, and everything a licensing authority needs to sign it off.

04

Project Oversight
& Delivery

The build phase is where most projects lose their integrity. On-site creative direction, contractor liaison, and quality control through every stage of construction. The same person who originated the concept stays present through delivery. No handover, no translation loss, no compromises made without understanding what they cost.

05

Client Presentation
& Pitch

A concept is only as strong as the room it's presented in. Visual decks, rendered environments, and client-facing presentations built to communicate the design as clearly as it was conceived. Experience pitching to Nike, Red Bull, Pacha, Pikes Hotel, and festival operators across Europe. The idea and the argument for it, delivered together.

06

Fractional
Creative Director

Not every project needs a full-time creative director. Some need one at the right moments — brief stage, key decisions, final sign-off. Available on a retained or project basis to lead creative strategy, review briefs, attend key meetings, and hold the vision across your programme. Senior creative leadership when you need it, without the overhead.

How it works
01

Brief

The first conversation is the most important one. Understanding what you need the project to do, who it's for, what success looks like, and what the person standing in the space needs to feel. Everything that follows comes from getting this right.

02

Concept

One idea that answers the brief. A single creative direction, presented visually with enough resolution to stress-test it before committing to development.

03

Development

The concept becomes a buildable design. 3D models, material selections, technical drawings, acoustic and AV specification — all developed together rather than sequentially. Every decision tested against the original brief before it moves forward.

04

Delivery

On-site through the build. Detail drawings, as-builts, technical documentation kept current as the project evolves. Every contractor meeting, every material substitution, every last-minute decision filtered through the same creative vision that started the project.

05

Handover

The project doesn't end at opening night. A full documentation package covering every specification, drawing, and supplier contact — everything needed to maintain, adapt, or build on the work long after the engagement ends.

Every project starts with a conversation. If you have a brief, a half-formed idea, or just a problem that needs solving, get in touch.
